Our Year – reflecting on creating bespoke designer kitchens in a pandemic

2020 certainly was an interesting year! But it hasn’t stopped us creating bespoke designer kitchens!

Like everyone else the year started pretty naturally then of course came COVID, social distancing and lockdown.

Like all businesses, we adapted our processes and procedures to make sure our customers and work colleagues stayed safe. So, lockdown gave us extra time to think too. We also used the time to finish off beautiful designer kitchens that were already in our workshop and figured out how to safely install new kitchens across Cheshire, North Wales, The Wirral and Chester.

We brought in new measures in our showroom, workshop and for our installation teams to make sure that we offered a safe and friendly environment. You can read more about how we did this HERE.

Luxury Designer and Bespoke Kitchens

More widely, we used the extra time to make some new plans for our future to help us stay focussed on the core of what we do. We make exceptionally beautiful bespoke designer kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and other home design projects for customers across Cheshire, North Wales, the Wirral and the North West.

We enjoy transforming spaces into something unique and bespoke. You can read more about what we learned from the first Lockdown and how it has shaped our plans on our blog HERE.

One thing we knew we had to do was to tell our story more effectively. You can read about our journey since 1991 HERE. We also really had a look at how we deliver beautiful bespoke designer spaces in people homes. We love adding those extra features or ‘finishing touches’, and you can read more about some of those (with a musical touch) HERE, with home automation technology HERE and a bespoke walk-in wardrobe HERE.

From Missionary Work to Bespoke Designer Kitchens

In October, we started publishing a series of Blogs that define the four ingredients Maranatha uses to helps customers create their perfect space. You can read about the first ingredient ‘Dream’, HERE, ‘Designer’ HERE,’ Bespoke’ HERE and ‘Luxury’ HERE.

We do love to keep in touch with our customers, so in November and December, we spoke to two customers for whom we created new bespoke designer kitchens in the last couple of years. In both cases, we have been back to their homes to help with other bespoke home design projects. You can read our interviews with Susan Monks on the Wirral HERE and Ian Jameson from Chester HERE.

I like the fact that it was actually ‘designed’ for me and my home.

Finally, in December we looked ahead to 2021 and wrote about what we thought the kitchen trends and colours might be in 2021. You can find that blog HERE.

The Pandemic has brought some considerable challenges for all us, but it’s also brought an opportunity to review what we do and see how we can improve. Whilst we are looking forward to 2021, we’d like it to be less eventful than 2020!! We want to be busy creating bespoke designer family spaces tailored to your needs, tastes, and the shape of your home.
